Entry Cost

Entry to this year’s Gold Coast Show is completely FREE for children and adults. Yes, free! $0.00.

However, it’s best to pack enough cash for rides, food, games, show bags and for the stallholders scattered throughout the show.

What’s On

Pony rides, pig racing, camel rides, art displays, showbags, the sideshow alley—there’s something for everyone! At this year’s show, there will be live music and shows, circus performances, belly dancing, wood chopping and so much more.

For a full list of what’s on at the 2019 Gold Coast Show, check out the official show program.

Food & Drink

Did you even go to the Gold Coast Show if you didn’t have a Dagwood Dog, finished off with strawberries and ice-cream for dessert? This year, there will be more food options than ever with all your favourite food trucks and a rooftop bar overlooking the Broadwater.

Handy Tips

Attending the Gold Coast Show means being out in the sun. So, now is the time to brush up on your skin care tips. Remember to hydrate, apply and reapply sunscreen and get your regular skin check.

While the show isn’t a full-blown festival, it is a chance to play with fun fashion, hairstyles and make-up. You may find a few ideas in our Best Festival Clothing from Splendour 2019 article.

How to Get to the 2019 Gold Coast Show

Light Rail Services

G:Link is one of the easiest ways to get to the 2019 Gold Coast Show. There is a light rail station right outside the Broadwater Parklands and there is free park ‘n’ ride car parking at the Parkwood Light Rail Station.

Standard G:Link travel costs do apply. Head to the Translink Journey Planner for more information.

Car Parking

Parking is available at Australia Fair (across the road from the show) or the Carey Carpark. According to the Australia Fair Parking web page, if you enter off Marine Parade, the first 3 hours of parking are free, with fees applicable after this time. While if you enter via Australia Fair Metro (Young Street and Garden Street) you’ll receive 2 hours of free parking with fees applicable there onwards. Pricing can be found on the Australia Fair website. Accessible parking is available.

The Carey Carpark is available opposite Australia Fair on Marine Parade in Southport.  A daily pass is available for $6.00 per car between Monday to Saturday 9:00am to 7:00pm. Check out the Gold Coast Council website for more information.

Taxi & Ridesharing

If public transport isn’t your idea of fun and you don’t want to drive, there is also the option of booking a taxi or car via a ridesharing app, like Uber. Fees can spike during busy periods, so prepare for possible inflation.
