Spend the day wandering around the picturesque Heritage Village, which showcases the rich, colourful history of Rockhampton from 1850 to 1950. The village will be more colourful than usual, with the added markets and entertainment that will be going on!
The highlights
Joining the Rockhampton Cultural Festival is Tichawona Noble Mashawa. Having recently moved from Zimbabwe to become a resident of Brisbane, Tichawona will get your feet stomping to the beat with his original and traditional African songs and stories.
Stav Shaul is a 21 year old Israeli artist studying jazz music. She will delight your ears with her vocals, percussion and guitar melodies. Find her at the Cultural stage this Sunday.
Be amazed by the Rwandan dance moves of Eric Kagogora. Having lived in Australia for 6 years now, he has been performing traditional Rwandan dances with the Imanzi dance group. Don’t miss his incredible display!
The Jamaican food stand is back!
Last year’s popular Jamaican stand is back and set to make your mouth water! Grilling up tasty jerk meats and fried dough balls, come and grab your fix before they sell out.
