RQ’s Tavern
RQ’s Tavern is where you need to be if you want to enjoy a good night without missing a minute of the action. With footy season just around the corner, ‘2-4-1’ main meals on Fridays is perfect for those Friday night footy spectaculars. If it’s not already, make it your ritual to take your best to mate to RQ’s Tavern and watch every Friday Night game together over a big, juicy ‘2-4-1’ parmigiana. The restaurant has multiple screens, so ordering dinner doesn’t mean you’re going to miss that crucial goal. If you manage to munch through your meal before the game starts, head out back to Basil’s Bar where you will find more screens coupled with live music and the notorious ‘L-shaped’ pool table that will be the root of many arguments during the night.

Robina Tavern
If you’re in Robina and looking for an old fashioned sports bar then Robina Tavern is perfect for you. Home to an extremely friendly atmosphere, it’s one of those bars where you find yourself talking to strangers or staff for hours on end only to realise that you’ve made some new friends – which soon become enemies when you find out they barrack for the opposition. Robina Tavern’s sports bar offers pay-per-view UFC on the big screen and of course the standard live AFL, NRL and rugby games – often at the same time on different screens. Along with their great drink specials, for $5 you can catch the courtesy bus to all the Titans home games if the big screen doesn’t get you close enough to the sports action.

The PA Pub
The PA Pub is great place to enjoy live sport in an unpretentious environment with some of the best beer the Gold Coast has to offer. If beer and sport are your two favourite things, then you’re going to enjoy a night at The PA Pub. Located within Jupiters Casino, it’s famous for its tasty pub food, live music, big screen sport and, depending on the night, even some stand-up comedy – which is the perfect way to distract you if your team is losing. There is a variety of tap beer for you to select from, ranging from domestic to international, but, with the casino located a short walk down the hall, you’ll have to be careful how much you decide to drink. If you’re in Broadbeach and thinking about going out to watch the big game, make sure it’s at The PA Pub. Unfortunately The PA Pub closes in three weeks so get in before it’s too late!

Broadbeach Tavern
Pool tables, TAB machines, multiple screens showing live sport, pokies, cheap feeds and drinks – what else would you want from a venue when you’re looking for a night out watching your team play? Broadbeach Tavern, or what locals call the “Liar’s Bar”, is located opposite the Kurrawa Surf Lifesaving Club and is for those people who like watching the game, but enjoy carrying on after just as much. If their famous all day every day $12 rump steak, chips, salad and schooner deal isn’t enough to get you off your couch for the night, their friendly staff and buzzing atmosphere is sure to do the trick.

Burleigh Bears Leagues Club takes the term ‘sports bar’ to a whole new level. It provides live sport on multiple screens, including a big screen by the sports bar and just a few steps away is some of the highest quality second-tier rugby league in the country. If you’re into your Rugby League then you have to visit this great location during one of the Burleigh Bears home games. They bring a carnival-like atmosphere and a very passionate crowd who love nothing more than to enjoy a beer on the sideline while watching their team score tries. Whether you’re a Rugby League fan who’s into you’re pokies or you just want a nice friendly sports bar to enjoy some live sport, Burleigh Bears Leagues Club is the place for you.

The Envy Hotel is perfect for those sport-nuts who can’t miss a minute of the game, but also don’t want to completely dedicate their Saturday nights to having their eyes glued to the television. Located right in the heart of Broadbeach, The Envy Hotel is a happening place with a fairly mixed crowd and is known for it’s versatility, with a floor for whatever mood you’re in. If you’re looking to catch the game, the sports bar on the ground floor is perfect for you. It’s has a relaxed vibe, happy-go-lucky bar staff, TAB at your fingertips and multiple screens (all showing sport) which is a godsend if you’re an EPL fan. However, if your team loses, you can head to the outdoor area and catch some fresh air or go upstairs to the contemporary lounge area, sit down and talk the game over with a few mates – until your mood turns around. If your team has just won in the final play of the game, race straight up to the third level, get a cocktail from the bar, find yourself a dancing partner and party the night away to live music at one of Gold Coast’s premier nightlife venues.
