Unleash your dog at these GC beaches!

If you and your dog love the beach, and having some time to run around off leash, we’ve found four Gold Coast beaches where you can do just that!

The Spit – Main Beach

This is the buffet of beach areas for dogs to run around and enjoy the outdoors. There are plenty of places in Southport for avid dog lovers to take their canine friends for a throw, tug of war or wrestle in the sand. The dog-friendly zone begins at Muriel Henchman Avenue which is located near Seaworld.
Where: The Spit, Main Beach QLD

Palm Beach South

Let your dog enjoy the sites at Palm Beach during the weekend. The beach stretches from the Palm Beach Parklands all the way to Currumbin Creek and out to the surf with no shortage of areas to cool off in the water. You can bring a picnic blanket to lay on while your dog soaks up the sun and goes hunting for sticks.
Where: Palm South Beach, QLD

Tallebudgera Beach

This dog loving beach is a secret only the locals know about. Just north of the Tallebudgera Surf Life Saving Club, you can take your dog through a small track before coming to a dog friendly zone where they can be free to roam the beach all by themselves. If your dog likes running into the distance across a long stretch of beautiful beach then let them roam free here.
Where: Tallebudgera Beach, QLD

Boat Harbour Park – Paradise Point

For Gold Coast residents further up north, if your dog is fond of the ocean but still likes the sight of land then you can take your four legged friend to Boat Harbour Park. With its secluded scenery, you can have the park all to yourself whilst overlooking the harbour. Although it is not beach, this area has stunning views and is better for those pups who like the outdoors but aren’t just yet adventurous.
