Seaview Hotel
Your first Friday night stop should be the Seaview Hotel – this historic pub was built in 1929 and is now operating as one of the most lively Friday night hotspots. If you love your live entertainment and good pub meals, then this is the place for you, as they have an awesome bistro menu as well as live music most Friday and Saturday nights. Sit down in their beer garden with a crisp pint off the tap and choose from pub favourites like beef and Guinness pie, or chicken parmigiana. If you would prefer something to share with your mates, they also have a range of delicious woodfired pizzas to choose from.
This Friday night you’ll be treated to live music from the Sera Jane Duo, if you want somewhere relaxing to hang out. Grab your work colleagues and head down here for a few Friday night beverages and good conversation. The Seaview Hotel also has an awesome cocktail menu, so if you prefer your spirits over beers, you’re in luck!

Criterion Hotel
If you’re a sports nut and want to enjoy your night drinking beer and watching the game, then head down to the Criterion Hotel (known as the Cri) in Townsville. Boasting plenty of big screens with Fox Sports running constantly, as well as cheap meals and good drinks, this will be a fun Friday night for you. Make this your go-to spot this Friday night and you can relax in the tropical beer garden and play a game of pool with your mates.
Choose from a two beers on tap and a large selection of bottled beers, or ask the bar staff for their recommendations of what to drink. You won’t be disappointed with the friendly and lively atmosphere that The Cri boasts every Friday night!

Cutheringa Bowls Club
Last but not least is the Cutheringa Bowls Club. If you want a fun Friday night out to enjoy with a group of your friends, then pop down here after work for a game or two of barefoot bowls. This bowls club is a fantastic social and family friendly spot to enjoy a few drinks, without all of the noise of a traditional pub. Every Friday night they run barefoot bowls and put on nibblies and a raffle, so you can try out a new sport and maybe even win some awesome prizes.
Run inside to the bar and grab a pint of fresh cold beer on tap, or ask them to mix you up a delicious cocktail or pour you a glass of house wine. If you’re feeling particularly hungry, order one of their delicious meals. You’ll find all of your pub favourites on their menu, so you can spend the whole night here and have a blast. If you can’t make it down this Friday night, don’t worry – they have happy hour between 5 and 6pm on Monday through to Thursday, so you can join for a social game of bowls and a drink midweek.
