Nightcap National Park
Do World Heritage listed rainforests sound like an amazing day out? If you and the kids are keen to get out and explore, the Nightcap National Park is the perfect place to do it. Located near Lismore, you’ll find some beautiful lookouts, campgrounds and cute picnic areas where you can stop and have some lunch. Be sure to follow the trail to Minyon Falls lookout or take the Big Scrub walking track loop for a tranquil forest experience. This national park is suitable for all age groups, has no entry fee and is open 7 days (unless otherwise specified).

Julian Rocks Marine Reserve
If you and the kids aren’t worried about braving the cooler water (wetsuits will help!), then head over to Julian Rocks Marine Reserve for some amazing snorkelling trips. At this reserve you have a chance to see an assortment of wildlife including sea turtles, mantra rays, corals, harmless wobbegong sharks and more than 400 species of fish! Perfect for a nice sunny day out.
