Anzac Day Services on the Gold Coast 2021

We’ve found current Gold Coast ANZAC Day services and events for 2021. However, we’re still waiting for more to be announced, which we’ll add to this article.

After the Queensland Premier confirmed ANZAC Day to go ahead as normal this year, there is a lot of excitement for the annual services and marches to return as usual. After only being able to stand in our driveways last year for ANZAC Day, we can now look forward to regular ANZAC Day services and activities.

List of Anzac Day Services on the Gold Coast 2021

1. Currumbin RSL cenotaph.

Time: TBA
Where: Currumbin RSL cenotaph, Gold Coast, QLD.

This year, the ANZAC Day Dawn Service will be changed from Elephant Rock to the Currumbin RSL cenotaph to suit larger crowds. Further details will be provided in the coming weeks. 

2.  Robina ANZAC Day Parade.

Time: 8 — 9am
Where: Robina

Other ANZAC Activities.

Currumbin.

Poppy Installation: 17th — 26th April, 2021.

The Currumbin RSL is running their crafted Poppy Project for 2021, with poppy installations around Currumbin with lightings of bridges and buildings too. The ANZAC Day poppy installation is taking donations for 8 ply wool and accepting volunteers to join their weekly knitters from the Currumbin RSL Women’s Auxiliary, local schools and the community at the RSL club every Tuesday morning from 10:30am. Walk 4 Remembrance: 18 April, 2021.

Time: 8am, 8:15am or 8:30am
Where: Gilltrap Park, Coolangatta
Price: $30 for adults, $12 for children (includes t-shirt)

The walk, hosted by the Currumbin RSL, is for veterans who lost their lives to suicide. Meet at Gilltrap Park at your registered time on 18 April to begin the 8 kilometre walk, helping bring attention to the importance of mental health and support. The walk will go from Kirra to Currumbin RSL, taking you on a walk along the beautiful coast.

Register for the event before Monday, 12 April 2021 1pm to select your time and t-shirt size.

Schools Welcomed to Currumbin RSL: 19 — 23 April, 2021.

Where: Currumbin RSL

Schools are welcomed by the Currumbin RSL to view and learn about the memorabilia, cenotaph and meet veterans from between the 19th to 23rd of April.
