The debate could go on for years, everyone has their own preference of best steakhouses on the Gold Coast. Here are some of the best places to take a delicious bite into your favourite food group.
Mike’s Kitchen
This restaurant has become one of the top spots for Gold Coast families to visit for their meat fix. With unique sauces and all of the best sides, you never knew steaks could taste this good. No matter how you like your steak cooked, you can’t go wrong with their Cheddarmelt topping – cheddar cheese melted over their mushroom sauce. Ribs, pasta and even a healthy habits menu, Mike’s Kitchen has great portion sizes and a cosy atmosphere to enjoy them in.

Hurricane’s Grill Surfers
We’ve mentioned Hurricane’s before for its succulent ribs, but enjoying a steak with views of the beach should be on every Gold Coasters to-do list. With premium grain-red Black Angus Beef and Angus-Hereford free range yearlings, this restaurants steaks have a flavour all of their own. Side note: make sure you get ready to unbutton those pants, the meal sizes here are larger than life.

Cav’s Steakhouse
This Gold Coast icon is widely known for their dress-up cows and second-to-none steaks. Cav’s is a popular restaurant among locals and has been serving premium aged steaks for over thirty years. Their signature Steak Dianne is served on creamy mash potato and comes with onion rings, veggies, and their perfect diane sauce.

Hog’s Breath Cafe
Hog’s Breath has been serving steaks to Aussie meat-eaters since 1989. Known for their Prime Rib steak, this premium quality beef is slow cooked for at least 18 hours. Finished off with a temperature searing on their char grill, those flavours aren’t going anywhere except straight into your mouth. The Garlic Prawn Prime Rib brings Gold Coasters’ love of seafood and combines it with ever carnivores dream.

Shannon’s Steak and Seafood
Dive into your steak as you look out and enjoy views of the Coomera waterfront. This restaurant may be small, but 14 years of success can’t be wrong. The perfect combination of seafood and beef comes together beautifully at Shannon’s. Try their signature Surf ‘n’ Turf of tender eye fillet, local Moreton bay bugs, topped with king prawns and a Bearnaise sauce.

Finally, we have to make a special mention to the Australian Outback Spectacular. Although this technically isn’t a restaurant, any kitchen that can serve hundreds of people perfectly cooked steaks in just a few minutes deserves a spot on this list
