Update your wardrobe with these 5 helpful tips!

#1 How are your basics faring?

Look into your wardrobe and check out your collection of basics. If they’re looking a little worn, or you’re lacking in that department, start here! Basics are the foundation to many good outfits, so having a solid selection of simple pants and tops will assist you greatly, without breaking your budget.

#2 Invest in a few small staples

As we’re currently in between seasons, you may find it more difficult to dress for the weather. Having fluctuating temperatures throughout the day makes it harder to choose between thick and thin clothes. Investing in some adaptable staples, such as a scarf or shawl, will not only give you an option for those cool/warm days, but also give you an extra layer to mix and match your other outfits with.

#3 Follow your favourite stores on social media

By being in the loop with all of your go-to stores, you’ll be constantly kept up to date on the latest sales and promotions. Knowing when to shop, as well as what to shop for is super important—you’ll be saving dollars left, right and centre!

#4 Go op-shopping

A growing global trend, op-shopping is popular with a wide range of people. Combing your local Salvo’s or Vinnie’s store can be quite exciting, as you never know what you could find! With good quality, name-brand products for a secondhand price tag, you can hardly go wrong when you indulge in a thrifting adventure!

#5 Hold a clothes swap party

Gather all of your close friends and relatives and ask them to bring their unwanted clothes. Now, you can all swap those clothes that you haven’t quite wanted to throw away! Bring out some cheese platters and wine, play some music and settle down for a much needed catchup with your friends once you’ve finished playing swapsies.
