Labrador – Harley Park
Harley Park is extremely popular with the locals because of its fantastic playground and the fact that it’s located on the beautiful Broadwater. Your kids can play freely as you and your partner stroll along the footpath enjoying the views and beautiful surroundings in the area. If you want to tire the kids out before heading to a cafe, let them play at the two different playgrounds which are nautically themed and include climbing poles, ropes, ladders and a flying fox if they are a bit older and braver.

Just a five minute drive away, you can now spoil yourself with one of the best cups of coffee on the Gold Coast. Daark Espresso has a great reputation for quality food and even better coffee that will hit the spot every time. If you haven’t been here before then make this a favourite cafe on your list. Choose from a selection of original fresh dishes, only using local produce being served straight to you table. Further down the coast for locals with kids is Ed Hardy Park which can be found in Miami. They also serve up unique treats such as coconut banana bread and homemade sweets depending on what day you decide to visit.

Burleigh Heads – Justins Park
Possibly the most famous park on the Gold Coast, Justins Park overlooks the Burleigh Heads foreshore. Pack the swimmers and witness your kids having trouble choosing what to climb or where to swim at this local hotspot. With all the usual favourites including swings, slides and a spinning teacup, entertaining the kids here for hours won’t be a problem.
