The Sunshine Coast Boardgamers
One of the official events this weekend is being hosted by The Sunshine Coast Boardgamers at the University of the Sunshine Coast. There will be boardgames being played from 10am to 5pm, and the event is entirely free (for all ages). If you have a favourite boardgame, bring it along, otherwise meet some new friends and play one of the club’s impressive collections of tabletop games. Even if you think you’ve seen them all, you’re sure to find something new at this registered event on the Sunny Coast.
Where: 90 Sippy Downs Drive, Sippy Downs QLD 4556
Event details: 10am-5pm, all ages, free event.
Mr Mcgee Spaghetti House
If you’re hungry half way through the day, look no further than the Mr Mcgee Spaghetti House, located just a short walk from the campus. Students and locals rave about this venue and its incredible pizza and pasta options, and for good reason. If you’re shying away from garlic so as not to offend your boardgame partners, try their scrumptious tomato mozzarella and basil salad. Otherwise, throw caution to the wind and order their fettuccine with garlic cream sauce served with tender scallops, prosciutto, rocket and parmesan for a flavour-filled dish. If you’d prefer to get straight back to the action, grab a takeaway menu for an incredible selection of pizzas and pastas to go.
Where: 9/1 Scholars Drive, Sippy Downs QLD 4556
