Sweet dips to impress your guests

Feeling creative but also craving sugar? Try a sweet dip! Sweet dips are not your average dips and can range from chocolate mousse to pumpkin pie. Try some at your next gathering.

Whether you want to serve up some sweet dips instead of dessert, or include them as part of a lolly buffet, these recipes are sure to have your guests talking for all the right reasons!

Peanut butter dip – this is a great option for those who love a sweet treat, but might be a bit health conscious. Simply blend together some peanut butter, sour cream, a dash of milk and vanilla essence for the perfect accompaniment for a fruit platter.

Chocolate mousse dip – for those who love an easy snack, why not purchase some chocolate mousse (pre-made, or you can make it yourself—we won’t judge) and serve it up in a dish? Place it alongside a plate full of strawberries or some sweet crackers for a chocolate treat.

Salted caramel cream cheese dip – this is one of the easiest (and most delicious) dips to make. Simply take some caramel (this can be bought in a tin), heat it over the stove with a dash of cream or milk, and then whip in cream cheese. Top it off with sea salt and serve alongside some pretzel sticks for the perfect sweet and savoury combination.

Pumpkin pie cheese ball – If you’re a fan of the classic cheese ball, then you’ll love this sweet variation! Take some cream cheese, a dash of butter, pureed pumpkin, cinnamon and brown sugar to taste, mixing it all together throughly with an electric beater. Leave it in the fridge to harden, and then coat with crushed ginger biscuits. Serve with sweet biscuits, apple slices or pretzels. You’ll be the hostess with the mostess!
