Jivoli on the Esplanade
This family-owned café and bar is located on the Esplanade just down from Eimeo Beach. With a slogan “enter as strangers, leave as friends” you know you’ll be served your coffee with a smile and good conversation when you step into Jivoli on the Esplanade. With old-fashioned 1950s décor and service, the team here serves up incredible cappuccinos and hearty meals to enjoy alongside your cuppa. Order their all-day full English breakfast with bacon, scrambled egg, sausage, beans, mushrooms and hash brown with tomato for a huge breakfast. Alongside your full English breakfast you will even have access to the self-serve tea, cereal and juice if you’re still peckish!
If you just can’t get enough of this great café, return for a bite to eat at dinner and cocktails across from the water. Their evening menu includes homemade favourites such as lasagne as well as seafood specials like the grilled spanish mackerel served with chips, salad and coleslaw. For a coffee loved by the locals, visit GoWake Espresso. This cafe is in the most unlikely place as part of the GoWake Cable Park. Although this normally wouldn’t be your first thought for an incredible cappuccino, the team here is dedicated to serving up delicious, consistent and quality coffee for their patrons. Using Tim Adams Specialty Coffee beans, this is a local favourite espresso stop for a strong coffee with the perfect amount of crema.
With a well trained team, you’ll be treated to a smooth coffee with fruity and nutty undertones served up by the baristas at GoWake Espresso. The blend sourced from local roasters has a really unique flavour that keeps people coming back time and time again. If you pop into GoWake Espresso for your coffee, you can even try your hand at cable skiing afterwards! Billy’s Café in North Mackay is the perfect place to visit for a filling breakfast and a hot cup of Campos coffee on the run.
