The Lanes Easter Carnival
This annual Easter carnival returns to Mackay on Sunday, starting at 9am with an Easter egg hunt, live music, activities and wildlife rescue animals. Join in on the festive fun with egg and spoon or sack races to tire out the kids, or get involved in the giant Twister competition. If the family is starting to feel peckish, fill up on local goodies from the market food stalls before sending your kids on the jumping castle or merry-go-round. Admission to the carnival is free, but if by dinnertime you still want to carry on there is a dive-in movie at Memorial Pool; at a gold coin donation this will be the best cinema experience of the weekend as you paddle around while LOL-ing At How to Train Your Dragon 2. This full day out of activities is sure to keep your family fed and happy this Easter long weekend.
