Horseshoe Bay Ranch
Ready for a day of romance? Once you’re set to go exploring, book a romantic horse trail ride with the lovely team at Horseshow Bay Ranch. Located on Magnetic Island, this journey will require a beautiful one-hour trip on the Magnetic Ferry. Sit back, relax and enjoy the rolling ocean scenery together.
Horsehoe Bay Ranch offers two-hour trail rides at 9am and again at 3pm. Weave your way through beautiful bushland, and even take a dip with your horse (this is optional). You will have two experienced guides with you, and the more skilled riders will have the opportunity to trot and canter. Beginners are welcome to go at their own pace. Just be sure to wear long trousers or jeans, closed-in shoes, bring a water bottle and, of course, a camera to capture it all!

Southbank Grill
For high-quality food, friendly staff and a beautiful dining experience with your partner, you have to try Southbank Grill. Open for dinner Monday to Saturday from 5pm until late, this Townsville restaurant offers a wide range of delicious meals. Of course, this is a grill, so if you are both lovers of beef then we recommend The Tomahawk which is available on a share plate. This includes a 750g scotch on the bone with thyme onion rings, tomato relish and your choice of two sides (if sharing)—absolutely delicious!
If you feel like something a bit different, you’ll find their vast menu includes barramundi, braised pork belly, lamb shanks, chicken supreme and much more. Their extensive wine and cocktail list will ensure you both have the perfect drink to end a perfect day.
