Put coloured tape on carpet to make some custom roadways. Didn’t have enough in the budget for that super-cool printed playmat? Not to worry, some coloured tape will do just as well! Just be sure to make a parking lot for all your child’s toy cars too!
Make an outdoor activity board game. Put that masking tape to good use and outline a giant board game with a range of activities in each square. Better yet, you can easily create a hopscotch game too!
Tape a paper towel roll to the wall with painter’s tape. This is a great activity for the younger bubs. Simply pop a plastic bowl underneath the roll and give your bub some soft balls (that aren’t choking hazards) to drop through the roll and land in the bowl. They will love it!

Here are some other great ideas that won’t cost a cent!

Don’t think you’ll need those old packets of clean sponges? Cut them up into rectangles to make a safe, soft and silent game of Jenga!

Have an old tarp lying around? Cut some large diamonds and squares in it to make a quick DIY throwing game. Give each hole a set point amount and challenge the kids to a game!

Are those pool noodles getting on a bit? Instead of tossing them out, cut one or two in half to make race tracks for their marbles! Quick, easy and won’t cost you anything.
