3 tips for feeling good inside-out

July 23, 2015 - 2 min read

Whip your body and your mind into shape without too much effort. These 3 tips will help you plan a healthier, more balanced lifestyle around work, family and other commitments.

#1 Take a packed lunch

We all love a quick fix from time to time, and for most people buying lunch is usually the easier option. However, waking up a little earlier to fix yourself a delicious homemade lunch can be worth your while. For starters, you are in charge of your food—you can make it as healthy as you like and know exactly whats going into it. Taking last night’s leftovers is also a great option. Bringing your own lunch to work will ensure that you don’t go for that easier, greasier option (or reach for that sugary snack!).

#2 Find a fitness group or workout at home

Whether you have a gym membership or not, working out can be really fun and you can always make time for it! If you’re not a fan of working out, many gyms offer group fitness classes that occur throughout the day to suit everyone’s schedule. Bootcamps are also a popular option and can be found online in your local area. If social fitness isn’t for you, then why not buy some equipment to use at home? Alternatively, you can find a huge array of instructional exercise DVD’s online and at your local store. You’ll need minimal equipment and can work on your Zumba moves after dinner—instead of watching that episode of Friends for the 10th time!

#3 Visit your doctor regularly

A regular checkup with your doctor is a no-brainer. Depending on your general health, you may need to go more or less often, but once every 6 months is generally good for keeping wraps on your health. Most doctors have versatile trading hours so fitting in some time for an appointment shouldn’t set you back at all. How long has it been since you last went?
