Fun Activities For Kids At Home
DIY Cubby House & Cave
This is a great way to make use of any extra large boxes you may have stashed in your cupboard. Set-up a large box so it is standing on top of some laid out newspaper (or in the backyard) and cut out spaces for windows, and a flap for a door. The kids can then spend the day decorating their cubby house with kid-friendly paint, crayons and craft materials.
If you don’t have any boxes, create a cave using blankets and pillows over a table or suspended between chairs for hours of indoor camping fun. You and your kids can let your imagination run wild!
Have a Teddy Bear Picnic
Pack up some sandwiches, snacks and drinks and lay out a large blanket in your backyard. Have your children bring their favourite (and washable) teddies or toys outside and have them play for hours with their creative pals.
BONUS: While they play, you can enjoy some ‘me time’ in the sun!
Homemade Pizza
Get your kids involved in lunch or dinner with some delicious homemade pizzas. Lay out some premade pizza dough, or flat bread and some dishes with your family’s favourite pizza toppings. Let the kids place the toppings on their pizza and put them in the oven for them. They will love eating their yummy creations!
This is also a great way to have your kids learn more about tasty vegetables and add their favourites to their own pizza.
