Along with these one-of-a-kind natural attractions, we’ve found a couple of great Wollongong cafes that you can catch up over a coffee or a quality meal. It doesn’t matter whether you choose one of these activities or all five, your mum is sure to have a blast as long as you’re by her side.
16 Feet Espresso
If you would rather treat your mother to a beautiful cafe style breakfast instead of serving her up burnt bacon cooked by yours truly, stop in at 16 Feet Espresso before your Helensburgh Glow Worm Tunnel experience. This quaint little cafe makes for a great location to spoil your mum with a beautiful tasting coffee. If the weather is on your side, sit in the alfresco garden seating area where you can immerse yourself in the serenity that the overhanging trees and rustic table settings create. There’s a range of delicious breakfast options to choose from, but the big brekky is certainly most popular. Dog-friendly as well, even the furry members of the family can celebrate Mother’s Day.

Helensburgh Glow Worm Tunnel
Head down to Helensburgh to enjoy a light show courtesy of the many Glow Worms that call this setting home. This one isn’t for the glamorous mums as there is a bit of mud involved, so make sure you pack the gumboots if you don’t want her favourite shoes to get ruined. Don’t worry, it’s all worth it once these glowing bugs do their thing and you’re treated to a cosmic experience.
