Located on the beach at Palm Cove is this lively, casual venue. The Apres Beach Bar and Grill is the perfect place to go for a mid-week beverage to forget about your work woes. With live entertainment every day of the week, pop into the bar and be treated to local acts, karaoke or even trivia! If a fun, lively environment isn’t enough to entice you into this waterfront location, we recommend you check out their incredible drinks. Choose from more than 100 specialty beers, or order some of your favourite cocktails from the bar.
If you’re starting to feel peckish, you can move to the restaurant for a full dinner menu, or stay in the bar and treat yourself to the tapas. If you’re choosing from some of their share plates, we recommend you try the spanish meatballs with toasted pita bread & parmesan, or the crispy pork belly served with sour cherry sauce. Playing a huge variety of music, from classics to modern jams, your week will definitely improve after you visit Apres Beach Bar & grill.

The Conservatory Bar is a classy, premium wine bar for those looking to unwind during the week. We recommend the Conservatory Bar for those who can’t go past a fine glass of wine paired with some specialty cheeses and good conversation. On Wednesday nights you’ll be treated to the acoustic sounds of local musician Andy Redhead to help you really relax and be ready to take on the rest of the week.
The Conservatory Bar boasts an extensive wine list; from crisp fresh whites to deep, rich reds, any wine you could dream of is served up in style at this great location. Relax and take in the tranquil decor and surroundings as you sip on your sumptuous wine, and then feast your eyes on the grazing platter menu. Choose from a range of rich, smooth cheeses and specialty antipasto dishes such as duck terrine. If you’re not sure what to order, speak to Kerry or Jan who can help you to pick the perfect food to accompany your wine. You’ll leave here in total awe of the relaxing experience, and ready to tackle the remainder of the week.

If you’re after waterfront dining and drinks for your midweek pick-me-up, then pop down to Vivo Bar & Grill on Williams Esplanade. They serve up tapas from 3-5:30pm every day, followed by a full dinner menu. Pop in early and try selections such as the steamed gulf prawn gyoza or the barramundi spring rolls – incredible twists on traditional seafood dishes to indulge in. If you’re popping in later, try their weekly set dinner menu. You’ll find different dishes every week such as chargrilled chicken or gulf prawn linguini – although the dishes change, they don’t fluctuate in quality or flavour so you can’t miss out if you visit here.
Whether you’re dropping in early, or staying for dinner, the real reason you want to visit is to indulge in a few cheeky midweek drinks, so don’t go past the cocktail menu. You can try a range of classic favourites such as martinis (go for the watermelon and mint!) or mojitos, or choose from their homemade specialty cocktails. There are so many incredible concoctions to choose from, but we recommend the ginger floresco made from lemongrass-infused bombay sapphire gin, served with ginger, orange blossom liqueur, pineapple juice, lime and lemon. This tangy beverage will help you say goodbye to the first half of the week, and hello to the upcoming weekend!
