White Bull Hotel
For a big, juicy steak in a relaxed and rustic setting, head to the White Bull Hotel. This restaurant and pub feels cosy with its exposed brick interior and leather lounges, alongside the dark cherry-wood tables and chairs. Take a seat in the restaurant and choose from a huge range of meals. All are delicious, but we know what you’re really here for – the sumptuous steaks.
Their chargrill menu includes sweet morsels of beef, from petite scotch to eye fillet. If you’re feeling hungry, opt for the 380-gram grassfed yearling T-bone steak, cooked to absolute perfection. Otherwise, order the tender eye fillet with your choice of topping. All of the dishes off the chargrill menu are served with a jacket potato and your choice of sauce—mushroom, Bernaise, pepper or Dianne—so you get the perfect meal. If you’d prefer to try a different flavour with your steak, you can pay a bit extra and try hot English mustard, blue cheese or creamy garlic sauce (to name a few) along with a topper of prawns! This is a much-loved restaurant in Armidale with arguably the best steaks in the region.

Hereford Steakhouse
If it’s in the name, it’s sure to be good! The Hereford Steakhouse prides itself on offering some of the best-cooked steak in the area, and can be easily spotted by its giant cow out the front of the restaurant. Start your evening with an entree of oysters or prawn twisters, and then run your eyes down the steak menu to choose your slab of heaven.
Choose from a T-bone, porterhouse, rib fillet or rump cut, and pick from traditional sauces or the surf ‘n turf topper, if you want to try something different. All steaks are served with your choice of two sides, so you can pick between delicious options like traditional fries or bacon and walnut salad to accompany your meal. While this restaurant is a steakhouse, they also have plenty of other menu items if you’re dining with someone who would prefer a braised lamb shank or tomato, croquette and chilli spaghetti. This fully-licensed restaurant open 7 nights a week is perfect if you’re looking to get your steak fix!
