ANZAC Day Services in Southern New South Wales 2021

Australians will once again be able to pay their respects to the ANZACS in 2021 with multiple services, marches and wreath laying events being held this year. Take a look at our list of services for those Southern New South Wales.

Every year on 25 April Australians and New Zealanders alike pause to remember the great sacrifices of our ANZACs. Over 100 years ago, our brave soldiers landed on the shores of the Gallipoli Peninsula for our first major military action of the first World War.

List of ANZAC Day Services in Southern New South Wales 2021

1. Batemans Bay RSL sub-branch dawn service.

Time: 6:00am.
Where: Honour Stone Clyde Street, Batemans Bay NSW, Australia.

The Batemans Bay RSL dawn service will commence at 6:00am, with COVID-safety regulations in place. This year, there will not be a Gunfire Breakfast following the service, however, there will be a march from 10:00am beginning on Orient Street, Batemans Bay.

2. Batemans Bay RSL sub-branch main service and march.

Time: 10:00 am march for a 10:50am service.
Where: Honour Stone Clyde Street, Batemans Bay, NSW. 

This year, the Batemans Bay ANZAC march will begin in the car park at the top of Orient Street marching down to Clyde Street from 10:00am. The march is followed by the main service at 10:50am.

3.  Ariah Park RSL sub-branch march.

Time: 11:00am.
Where: Ariah Park, Coolamon Street, Ariah Park.

The Ariah Park community is invited to commemorate the ANZACS with a march from 11:00am along Coolamon Street to the Cenotaph.

4. Bega RSL sub-branch service and march.

Time: 10:30am march followed by a 10:45am service. 

Where: Memorial Precinct, Bega NSW.

2021 Anzac Day will see the annual march begin on Gipps Street stepping off towards Carp Street. The march will continue on to the memorial gates where the service will begin at 10:45am. All members of the community are welcome to join.

5.  Bombala RSL sub-branch main service and march.

Time: TBC 
Where: Cenotaph, Maybe Street, Bombala. 

The Bombala ANZAC march will begin at Club Bombala travelling, to the intersection of Maybe and Forbes Street where the main service will be held. While the time is to be announced still, the service will run for approximately 60 minutes with representatives from the service industry in attendance.

 6. Albury RSL sub-branch dawn service.

Time: 5:30am 
Where: Albury War Memorial, Western Hill.

The Albury dawn service will commence at 5:30am sharp and run for approximately 45 minutes.

7. Albury RSL sub-branch march and main service.

Time: 9:00am march for a 10:00am service.  
Where: Albury War Memorial, Western Hill.

The ANZAC Day march in Albury will step off from the eastern end of Dean Street travelling west at 9:00am. Those wishing to take part are asked to arrive at 8:30am. After the march, the main service will begin at 10:00am.

 8. Leeton RSL sub-branch dawn service.

Time: 6:00am
Where: Pine Avenue, Leeton NSW, Australia

The dawn service will begin with a short march along Pine Avenue from Church Street concluding at the Cenotaph where the service will be held. Those marching included current and ex-service men and women and RSL branch members.

 9. Leeton RSL sub-branch march and main service.

Time: 9:45am march for a 10:00am service

Where: Leeton Local Court, Church Street, Leeton NSW, Australia

Forming outside the courthouse, the march will travel down Church Street before halting to lay a memorial wreath and continuing on to the Cenotaph on Pine Avenue. The service will begin at 10:00am, all of the community are welcome.
