ANZAC Day services have returned this year after cancellations in 2020, and the Northern Territory has plenty of commemorative services for you to attend. While Australians paid their respects from their driveways and TVs last year, we can finally come together again in 2021 to remember those who served and fought for Australia and New Zealand.

4 ANZAC Day Services in Northern Territory

1. Alice Springs Commemorative Service.

Time: 6:00am – 11:00am
Where: Alice Springs Garden Cemetery — Soldiers Memorial

Meet at the Alice Springs Garden Cemetery — Soldiers Memorial at 6:00am for the ANZAC Day commemoration. More information coming to the Alice Springs Town Council website.

2. Darwin RSL ANZAC Day Commemoration.

Time: 5:00am
Where: Darwin RSL

The Darwin ANZAC Day Commemorative Service will begin with a gunfire breakfast at 5:00am. After the breakfast, the public will assemble at the Darwin RSL Cenotaph at 5:30am and veterans will come together at ANZAC Walk at Bicentennial Park, the Esplanade, marching to their seating in front of the Cenotaph. 

The Dawn Service will then begin at 6:00am, also at the Cenotaph, followed by a reunion breakfast at 7:00am. Thirty minutes later, ANZAC Day Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral will be held at 7:30am and the parade will assemble at the Esplanade at 8:45am and begin marching at 9:00am, reuniting at 9:30am.

3. Darwin ANZAC Day Dawn Service at Fred’s Pass Angelican Church.

Time: 5:00am
Where: Fred’s Pass Anglican Church, 30 Bees Creek Road, NT

Assemble at 5:00am at Fred’s Pass Anglican Church for the ANZAC Day Dawn Service. The service begins at 6:00am, followed by a gold coin donation gunfire breakfast.

4. Katherine ANZAC Day Service.

Time: 5:00am
Where: Katherine Country Club

The Katherine ANZAC Day services will return in 2021, with the traditional Dawn Service at the Katherine Cenotaph and the community parade on Katherine Terrace. There will also be morning tea, shotgun breakfast and BBQ breakfast events at the Katherine Country Club at 5:00am and 7:00am.
