Anzac Day Services in Northern New South Wales 2021

In 2021 Australians are going to be able to pay their respects to the ANZACS at traditional services and gatherings. Here’s our list of services in the Northern New South Wales region.

With some community restrictions still in place, this ANZAC Day Services list in Northern New South Wales will help you plan where to pay your respects this April.

For the safety of the community, some services are now ticketed, held online and some marches have been cancelled. The most important thing is Australians and New Zelander can pay their respects within their local community in 2021.

List of Anzac Day Services in Northern New South Wales 2021

1. Ballina RSL Sub Branch Dawn Service.

Time: 5:30am 
Where: Ballina RSL Sub Branch, 1 Grant Street Ballina, NSW.

The Ballina RSL dawn service will commence at 5:30am, followed by breakfast at the nearby Ballina  Surf Club from 6:30am. Head to the Court House on River Street for the official ANZAC march Ballina from 10:30am.

2. Alstonville RSL Sub-Branch Dawn Service.

Time: 5:20am
Where: Elizabeth Ann Brown Park, Alstonville, NSW.

Meet in Elizabeth Ann Brown Park at the corner of Daley street and Wardell Road for a 5:20am dawn service, hosted by the local Alstonville RSL.

3.  Alstonville RSL Sub-Branch Commeriative Service.

Time: 9:30am 
Where: Elizabeth Ann Brown Park, Alstonville, NSW.

Bring the whole family to pay their respects to the ANZACS from 9:30am in Elizabeth Ann Brown Park. There will be a commemorative parade through the main street, finishing in the park before the commencement of the proceedings. 

4. Bowraville and District RSL Sub-Branch Dawn Service.

Time: 5:30am 
Where: Cenotaph, High Street, Bowraville NSW.

The Bowraville Dawn Service will begin at 5:30am at the Cenotaph on High Street. There will be no singing this year and COVID guidelines will be followed.

5. Bowraville and District RSL Sub-Branch March and Main Service.

Time: 10:00am March for a 10:15am service. 
Where: Cenotaph, High Street, Bowraville NSW.

The Bowraville ANZAC march will step off on High Street from the Bowraville and District Ex-Services Club travelling to the Cenotaph. At 10:15am, the main service will begin at the Cenotaph.

6. Nambucca Heads RSL Sub-Branch Dawn Service. 

Time: 5:30am 
Where: Nambucca Heads Cenotaph, Nambucca Heads NSW, Australia

In 2021, the Nambucca Heads dawn service will be held at the Cenotaph, with seating limited to 250 people due to restrictions. 

7. Nambucca Heads RSL Sub-Branch Main Service. 

Time: 10:30am 
Where: Nambucca Heads Cenotaph, Nambucca Heads NSW, Australia

Unfortunately, there will be no march at this year’s ANZAC commemorations in Nambucca Heads. The main service will continue as normal with seating limited to 250 people. 

8. Pottsville District RSL Sub-Branch Service.

Time: 8:00am 
Where: Pottsville Beach Sports Club, Tweed Coast Road Pottsville

There will be no ANZAC march in Pottsville for 2021 in response to the current health crisis. To ensure safety within the community the main service will be held at Pottsville Beach Sports Club on ‘The Lawn.’ The general public can enter the venue via the side entrance.
