List of Anzac Day Services in Cairns & Surrounds 2021
1. Cairns Dawn Service.
Time: 5:30am
Where: Cenotaph on the Cairns Esplanade, Cairns, QLD
The Cairns Dawn Service will begin at 5:30am at the Cenotaph on the Cairns Esplanade. While the march route is yet to be finalised, the commemoration service is set to begin after the march at the Cenotaph.
2. Babinda Dawn Parade and Commemorative Service.
Time: 4:00am
Where: RSL Memorial Hall, 26 School St, Babinda QLD 4861
Gather at the RSL Memorial Hall for the Parade, commencing at 4:20am on ANZAC Day. The Commemorative march will head to ANZAC Park at the Cenotaph, followed by service and wreath laying.
Assemble at 9:45 for the Commemorative Service at the Babinda RSL Memorial Hall and commence at 10:00am, heading to ANZAC Park at the Cenotaph, followed by service and wreath laying.
3. Edge Hill Dawn Parade.
Time: 4:10am
Where: Anderson Street Entrance
Assemble at the Anderson Street entrance at 4:10am for the Commemorative March. The service will commence at 4:28am at the War graves at the Martyn Street Cemetery.
4. Gordonvale Dawn Parade and Commemorative Service.
Time: 3:30am
Where: Gordonvale RSL Annex, 94 Gordon St, Gordonvale QLD 4865
Meet at the Gordonvale RSL Annex for the gunfire breakfast at 3:30am. At 4:00am, assemble on Gordon Street for the parade. The Dawn Service will commence at 4:27am at Norman Parkcenotaph, followed by service and wreath laying. There will be breakfast for guests, current and ex-service people, as well as RSL members at Norman Park at 6:00am.
The 9:00am ANZAC Day parade will meet at the Gordonvale State Primary School on George Street. Then, at 9:30am, the commemorative march to Normal Park will be followed by service and wreath laying. After the service, there will also be a breakfast for attendees at this time.
5. Trinity Beach Dawn Parade.
Time: 5:30am
Where: Trinity Beach, 53 Vasey Esplanade, Trinity Beach QLD 4879
Commencing at 5:30am, the Trinity Beach Dawn Service will be held adjacent to the memorial. The Catafalque Party will take post followed by service and wreath laying.
