Make your house a home with these easy tweaks!

Hack 1: Use blackboard paint for quick reference for measurement conversions

Blackboard paint has become extremely popular for small home touch-ups. This is especially useful for busy areas such as your kitchen. Simply paint the inside of your pantry using the blackboard paint and with chalk, write what you frequently reference while in the kitchen, such as different measurements and their conversions. Install some hooks and hang some utensils for quick and easy use!

Hack 2: Use shower curtain hooks to hang your jeans

Looking to organise that walk-in robe but have no idea where to begin? Something as simple as shower hooks could save the day! If you’re tired of rummaging through the drawers to find your jeans, simply use some shower curtain hooks and hang them up by the belt loops. No muss, no fuss.

Hack 3: Old wine racks are perfect for organising your towels

Tired of trying to find your towel sets in among all your bathroom items? If you have an old wine rack, install it in your bathroom, roll up your towels and place them in the hooks. Perfect fit! Not only does this look great, it saves space and you won’t have to hassle your partner if you forget your towel!

Hack 4: Use old drawers to make some cute shelves

Throwing out some old dressers? Save some of the smaller drawers for this crafty home hack. All you have to do is secure it to a plain wall for a quirky and useful shelf. You can even use the drawer handles as hooks to hang necklaces, bracelets and other items.

Hack 5: Save your car doors with a pool noodle

Yes, you read right! If you’re always anxious about opening your door onto the garage wall, cut a pool noodle in half and secure it to your garage wall where you usually park. This way, even if the door gets away from you, it won’t hit the wall!

Hack 6: Organise the bathroom sink with an old CD tower

Reuse that old CD tower by placing it just above your sink (or wherever there’s room). By installing this horizontally with the slots facing up, you will have lots more space to store your daily bathroom products such as makeup, skincare and toothbrushes.

Hack 7: Add levels to narrow shelves for easy visibility

When storing items such as DVDs in a deep cabinet, it’s a good idea to prop up the back row with a book or a mini shelf. This allows you to see what’s hidden behind, without having to move anything out of the way.
