If you’re sick of looking at your closet and thinking “I have nothing to wear”, then the time has come to clear out your wardrobe! Start by removing clothes that don’t inspire you or you don’t feel confident in — donate those pieces to charity for a great cause.

After you’ve decluttered your wardrobe, categorise clothes into themes that inspire you to establish a streamlined concept, for example by colours or by seasons. Keep your wardrobe in order by grouping pieces together like long dresses, blouses or shoes. This will make it easy to put together an outfit, as well as triggering you to keep your wardrobe in shape for the year ahead.

Organise your pantry by throwing out anything that’s expired including herbs and spices that have been there for too long. You’ll probably need to put aside a whole weekend to get your garage in order! Throw out obvious junk and put aside items that you no longer want but could offload in a garage sale. You could also use eBay or Gumtree to sell your old items.

Purchase some plastic storage containers (with lids) and categorise your goods into themes i.e Christmas decorations and tools. Clearly mark the boxes to help you remember where everything is.
