It’s not always easy to find a place to drink on a Thursday night in Coffs Harbour, and when you eventually do it’s most likely not the atmosphere you’re after. We’ve saved you the trouble and found 3 bars with a vibe to suit whatever mood you’re in.
#1 If your idea of a good thirsty Thursday is cheap spirits and partying until the early hours of the morning, Greenhouse Tavern is the place to be.

Calling all uni students, backpackers and young partygoers! Thursday night is student night at the Greenhouse Tavern. If you just can’t wait for the weekend, but don’t want to blow your budget before it even begins then we have the bar for you. This newly refurbished social hotspot, located just off the Pacific Highway, offers $6 mains (yes, you read right) with your choice of 5 different pub-style meals which includes parmigiana, pasta and calamari.
If your mantra is ‘eating is cheating’ when it comes to a big night, don’t worry. The cheap deals don’t stop at the meals. The Greenhouse Tavern offers $4 schooners on tap at the bar and $5 basics for those into their harder liquor. With prizes to give away and DJ Bisho on the decks, where else would you want to dance the night away this thirsty Thursday?

#2 If nothing gets you in the mood for Friday more than a nice meal and dancing to live music The Pier Hotel is for you

Established in 1905, this little piece of Coffs Harbour history has been mastering the art of thirsty Thursdays for longer than most. If you’re hungry then you’ve come to the right place. Thursday night means Mexican food at the Waves Bistro, where you can order a range of South American style dishes, including crunchy nachos with your choice of tender beef, chicken, pork or, for those chilli-lovers, a spicy pork buritto may sound more you.
Whatever your choice, make sure you wash it down with a glass of sweet sangria –  also included in the $16.90 meal – to top off the Mexican experience. As the sangrias start to kick in, you and your friends can enjoy acoustic duo J and R Rhythm as they fill the air with their soulful blues beats. It doesn’t matter whether you and your partner are looking for a little midweek change up this Thursday or if you want to gather your mates out for a few pre-weekend schooners at the bar, The Pier Hotel has got you covered.
Where: 356 Harbour Drive Coffs Harbour NSW
