Friday 20th March

Ben Francis

Ben Francis is an indie rock singer, songwriter and musician influenced by the likes of Birds Of Tokyo, British India and Kingswood. He has recently supported Phil Jamieson from Grinspoon at the North Coast V-Twins Street Party and will be playing tonight at the Coast Hotel, for a relaxing Friday night out. Why not head down to the buzzing Coast​ Hotel to support a local artist and enjoy a drink or two at the bar.

Then Jolene & Tasman Jude

Hoey M​oey is hosting two great gigs tonight; first up is Then Jolene – a local band who describes their genre as ‘happy time swamp’. Keeping it in the family, Then Jolene is an eight piece band made up of two married couples and a few other misfits. Also playing at Hoey Moeyis Tasman Jude, a Canadian reggae band with a twist. These two bands promise to offer a quirky Friday night to keep your spirits high this rainy Friday eve.

Saturday 21st March

Femme + Dixie

The Plantatio​n Hotel is one of the locals’ favourite bars. Boasting ‘the coolest lighting rig outside a capital city’ they will be hosting two DJ’s for a night of serious dance music. DJ Femme has an impressive resume of DJ experience, including being signed to labels such as Soapbox (Ministry of Sound), Universal and Bomb Squad records with a list of Aria chart songs under her belt. Dixie notably owns 250 pairs of sneakers and is also signed to the record label Soapbox alongside Femme. With a collective sound described as main room electro this is definitely an event that will keep you awake this Saturday night!

Rob Johnson Band

If you’re up for a relaxing Sunday session then head down to the Hoey​ Moey to check out R&B Soul singer Rob Johnson. Rob is currently on tour directly from New York City and will be accompanied by a five piece band, playing original songs as well as covers of favourite artists such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Prince. Pop over to the bar and order yourself a Pina Colada while you sit by the beach and listen to Rob’s smooth voice and soul music.
