Since social twilight sailing isn’t until later in the afternoon, you’re going to want to fuel up with a nutritious lunch beforehand. With tasty meals, beach views and an alfresco dining area, you won’t be disappointed with a visit to the SideWalk Cafe. While their all-day breakfast menu is tempting whatever time of day, we suggest sitting down and digging into one of their melt-in-your-mouth gourmet wraps and sandwiches. The steak sandwich served with lettuce, fried onion, tomato and cheese, topped with tomato relish and chips is a popular favourite, as is their delicious coffee. Perhaps you’d prefer something sweeter? They have a range of freshly made fruit smoothies to go with any lunch dish. So sit down and enjoy the best food, service and views in Airlie Beach at the SideWalk Cafe.

Sail until the sun sets

Running from 3pm every Wednesday, head down to the Whitsunday Sailing Club for some fun-filled social twilight sailing. With visitors welcome to join in, you can jump on a yacht as a passenger or even help out on deck if they’re short a crew member. The race goes for approximately an hour, as the fleet make their way around Pioneer Bay and finish back at the sailing club right as the sun sets. Be sure to hang around for the presentation and have a meal at the Whitsunday Sailing Club – maybe even shout your skipper a beer.
