Emerald Lakes Golf Club
The course: Emerald Lakes Golf Club is a professionally designed, par 72 championship golf course which was formally home to the Queensland PGA Championship. This generous golf course is the perfect challenge for all handicaps; it’s not too hard for the amateur golfers but it is still tough for those who know how to hold a club. With night golf also available, if you’re one of those people who like having a hit after work then Emerald Lakes is for you. Just make sure you come down early and get the rust out by hitting a few reasonably priced range balls.
The clubhouse: The Emerald Lakes Golf Club lets you enjoy restaurant quality food at affordable prices while overlooking the pristine views that this course is so famous for. For the early risers you can enjoy a tasty bacon and eggs combo with grilled tomato and a simple yet delicious cappuccino. Or if your round is a bit later, sink your teeth into their famous chicken parmigiana and chips. So, it doesn’t matter whether you’re having a hit before brekky, lunch or dinner the Emerald Lakes Golf Club has got you covered both on and off the course.

Palm Meadows Golf Course 
The course: Palm Meadows welcomes golfers of all abilities. This majestic 350 square hectare course is easy on the eye as well as providing a challenge for all golfers regardless of your handicap. If you want to have enough energy to finish your round, we suggest using a buggy on this mammoth course. While this entire course makes for a fun little challenge – with 14 holes with water hazards and 82 sand bunkers – keep an eye out for the signature 18th. This 523 metre dogleg provides you with picturesque views of the entire course and is rated in the world’s top 500 golf holes, according to American Golf Digest.
The clubhouse: At the Palm Meadows Golf Course you can choose to dine alfresco overlooking the lake with beautiful course views, or, if you’ve had enough of the heat during your round, have a break in the air-conditioned comfort of the Lakeview Restaurant that is located inside the golf course. If you’re a lover of bacon and eggs, but went a bit overtime with your round, don’t hesitate as the Lakeview Restaurant does an all-day breakfast that’ll be sure to satisfy your cravings. All the meals at this restaurant are extremely affordable. If you have finished a round with a mate, make sure you tuck into the golfers platter, which includes spring rolls, salt and pepper squid, meatballs and fries, which will both fill you and leave you enough money for a couple of ice cold schooners from the bar.

Parkwood International Golf Course
The course: Nestled among a natural bushland setting, this little gem of a course features a naturally undulating surface that provides its own challenges to make your golfing experience interesting and unique. The 18 hole 6043 metre par 71 is a bit easier on your game than the others previously mentioned, but that doesn’t mean the pros won’t have a bit of fun with it. If you’re bringing the kids along and don’t want to hold up play, there’s a mini golf course and driving range available for all who wish to muck around a bit without disturbing the more keen golfers.
The clubhouse: Open 7 days a week for breakfast lunch and dinner, you can choose from the ‘wakey wakey rise and shine’ menu for all your breakfast needs. Their pizza range is also a common selection for those who have been to the kitchen at this course before. Tuesday night is ‘Moonlight Madness’ at the Parkwood International Golf Course which makes for the perfect night to bring your kids down. For $20 you can fill the kids up with pizza and a coke before sending them off for some mini golf mayhem. For the same price, you can also tuck into a pizza, but wash it down with a Corona instead as you smash through a large bucket of balls.
