If you’re the arty sophisticated type, and you’ve picked the right day, then the gallery, located in the cafe, provides monthly exhibitions with an environmental or cultural theme. Foodspace Cafe
Foodspace cafe is located within the famous Artspace Mackay just off Gordon Street. A stop at this little café is a must for anyone driving through Mackay. Specialising in gourmet seasonal food they have a dish for whatever mood you’re in. For those with a lighter pallet they offer a gluten-free muesli topped with seasonal fruit, honey and thick Greek yoghurt or if you’re into a bit of grease then the ‘Kens Cook Up’ will satisfy you – featuring free range eggs, bacon, fenelled sausage, mushroom and sourdough bread. If you didn’t get enough of the views Mackay has to offer during your drive, then you will not be disappointed as Civic Precinct views will surround you during your stay at Foodspace Cafe.

This unique little vintage homeware store sells everything from European-style linen to French provincial furniture and doubles as a quaint cafe specialising in teas and home cooked sweets.

This one-of-a-kind boutique cafe will make you feel like you’re back in 19th century Europe as you bite down on your jam and cream scone.
