Now you have a new and better reason to take pictures of your food! Open from 11:30am, head over to the Austral Hotel for some delicious brunch and have a play around with your new camera, or simply find the angles that work best on your smartphone. This Mackay pub also offers some beautiful lush surrounds that are perfect for creating some intriguing shots!
Choose from one of their delectable mains including graziers beef pie, Atlantic salmon or their barbecue pork ribs. If you’re in the mood for something a bit lighter, but equally as photogenic, try their sweet potato and rocket salad with balsamic glaze—amazing!

Bluewater Trail
If photos of your food weren’t enough, head over to River Street and have a walk along the Bluewater Trail. On your walk you will come across the botanic gardens, Sandfly Creek environmental walkway, as well as the Catherine Freeman walk—all of which offer stunning views worthy of a photo (or hundred). This walk stretches on for kilometres, so be careful you don’t get too carried away!
Once you’ve finished taking in the sights and landing a few awesome shots, it’s time for a quick early dinner before the meet.

If you’re looking for a great place to get a quick dinner before the event, head over to Kevin’s Place. Open Monday to Saturday, you can sample fresh Singaporean cuisine here that is high-quality and delicious. Whether you’re after something small like a deep-fried spring roll appetiser, some soup, or something more filling such as sizzling beef steak, you’re sure to find a dish you love at Kevin’s Place.
