So you’ve had a random influx of motivation to get out and get moving. That’s great! As little as 30 minutes of exercise a day can help to improve your overall health. We know a big setback on the road to fitness is money, which is why we’ve found some great places you can go to work out, for free! We’ve also found some great Gladstone restaurants to grab a bite after your workout!

Get your running shoes on, you’re heading to Happy Valley Park.

This is a fantastic place to head to whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or are experienced in using fitness equipment. There is a fitness trail here that encompasses three different length loops, so whatever your fitness level—there’s something to suit everyone. Along with these walking/running trails is a range of equipment that is free to use including step benches, parallel bars (great for chin ups, push ups and tricep dips), ab benches, squat handles and a hanging twister (for lower back rotations). Do your own workout here, go with a friend or find a PT who will teach you proper form when conducting specific exercises. Remember, before embarking on any new fitness journey, you should get the OK from your doctor or medical professional first!
